Canadian Distribution Channel (CDC) Inc., maker of yogurt beverages for the ethnic market in Canada has received more than $350,000 in Provincial funding to expand their production facility from 6,000 to 16,000 sq. feet.
The funding will allow them to diversify the product line, attract new international customers and create up to eight new jobs while retaining eight others.
The GPA EDC assisted them with writing the Rural Economic Development (RED) funding application. The company also participated in the GPA EDC’s Manufacturers’ Training Initiative.
In addition to the facility expansion the addition of another bottling line will allow for various sizes of bottles to be filled. More flexibility equals more oportunities to attract more orders. That coupled with new marketing efforts leads to more export opportunities for this rural Ontario beverage maker. Cheers!
