FRESH PERSPECTIVE AT GPA EDC

As I walked into the GPA EDC office this morning, I realized that I have had the pleasure of being apart of the team for almost three months now.  The months of April and May flew by, working as an intern from Loyalist College. Now nearing the end of an exciting June, I have been busy in my first month as the GPA EDC’s new Communications Coordinator.

I was born and raised in Peterborough. I have lived here my entire life, only leaving for post-secondary education in Toronto and Belleville. But my path led me back to Peterborough and here I am, learning more about my hometown everyday.

For example, having the chance to be apart of events such as the Community Innovation Forum and Creative Cocktail has allowed me to meet wonderful people who are apart of the community. In addition, working on the new interconnected website, email newsletters and company wide rebranding is such a great opportunity to learn more about the Peterborough area.

The Greater Peterborough Area Economic Development Corporation has opened my eyes to so many aspects surrounding Peterborough and the Kawarthas, the Creative Economy, the community and so much more. I am looking forward to what the rest of the year brings!
